Privacy Policy — Ball Knowledge

Ball Knowledge ("the app", "we", "us") is a basketball trivia game. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, contact us at wkennedy210@gmail.com.

Playing as a guest

You can play Ball Knowledge without an account. Guest gameplay and streaks are stored only on your device and are not sent to us.

Information we collect

When you create an account, we collect and store the following through Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore):

• Email address — used to sign you in and to send password-reset emails.
• Username — the name you choose, shown publicly on leaderboards.
• Profile avatar — an optional image you choose from your photo library. It is resized and stored as part of your profile.
• Favorite team — an optional team you select, shown next to your name.
• Gameplay stats — your best streaks and scores per game mode, and your daily-challenge results, used to power the leaderboards.

We do not collect your contacts, location, or device advertising identifiers, and we do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

How we use your information

We use this information only to operate the app: to authenticate you, to save and sync your progress across devices, and to display leaderboards. Your username, avatar, favorite team, and scores are visible to other signed-in users on the leaderboards.

Access to your photo library

If you choose to set a profile avatar, the app asks permission to access your photo library so you can pick an image. We only access the single image you select. We do not browse or upload any other photos.

Content moderation

Because usernames and avatars are public, the app filters usernames for offensive content and lets users report another player's username or avatar from the leaderboard. Reports are reviewed and acted on where appropriate.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Data is processed and stored by Google Firebase on our behalf; see Google's privacy policy at firebase.google.com/support/privacy. We may disclose information if required by law.

Deleting your account and data

You can permanently delete your account at any time from the app: open Profile → Delete account. This removes your profile, username, avatar, and streaks. You can also email us at wkennedy210@gmail.com and we will delete your data.

Children's privacy

Ball Knowledge is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
